For those seeking to escape from modern life stressful pace, this Island is truly a dream destination! Just imagine: a paradise island with no shop, no bank, no traffic light (and therefore no traffic), no gas station and no bridge to link it to the rest of the world! On the program: the great maritime air, an authentic architecture, the oldest lighthouse in Quebec, unpaved roads that end in the rocky capes or in the wild roses, the majestic whales, an authentic regional cuisine and so much more! Île Verte is the only inhabited island in the region and is ideally explored by bike or by foot. There you can stop and admire the frolicking sea mammals from the foot of the St. Lawrence’s oldest lighthouse (1809).
